We have been in construction for 52 years. Fifteen years has been in cabinet refacing, refinishing and repairs.
We are a Factory Direct Dealer - No Middlemen; No Sales Commissions and we do not have a fancy showroom.
If you’ve dreamed of a new kitchen but awakened to the “sticker shock” of the cost for cabinet replacement, don’t be discouraged, there is an inexpensive alternative - cabinet refacing. Refacing is not a job to be performed by a “handyman” working out of his garage for a day’s pay. Most refacers have years of experience and have served as an apprentice for at least five years. Refacing is a craftsmanship-like art whereby the existing doors, hinges and drawer fronts are discarded and the remaining cabinet boxes are sanded, leveled, holes filled and prepared for veneer. The veneer is a thin layer of wood, rigid thermofoil or laminate manufactured to match the selected doors. The doors can be actual wood doors in various shades of oak, cherry, maple or hickory and are available in every profile such as raised panel, flat panel, shaker, arch and cathedral, and they can be hand-glazed with highlights. Wood doors are the most expensive doors and are most vulnerable to warping and shrinking especially here in Florida where people leave their windows open on mild nights and moisture is absorbed into the wood.
Then the following morning, windows are closed and the A/C is turned up sucking all the moisture from the wood causing the doors to warp and shrink. The rigid Thermofoil doors are pressure-molded under high heat onto high quality medium-density fiberboard. They are the least expensive and most popular doors used throughout the United States and Europe because they are low maintenance, will wear much better than wood and will not warp or shrink. They are available in multiple colors, have very realistic-looking wood grains and are also manufactured in nearly every style and profile.
Most installations take only two or three days (instead of four to eight weeks for replacement), a plumber arid an electrician isn’t needed, there is no demolition dust, and it is unnecessary to even empty the cabinets.
As for the hardware, hidden hinges are used in most refacing installations. They are six-way adjustable and they give the doors a much cleaner look. Drawer pulls, handles and knobs are a matter of personal preference and are purchased by the homeowner and installed by the contractor. In some cases, where existing wood doors are in good condition, they can be refinished. The doors and hardware are removed, taken to the shop and stripped of their finish, cleaned and restained to the desired color and finish. The cabinet boxes in the customer’s home are also stripped and refinished on site, the hardware is reapplied and the doors are re-hung. This process takes about two to three weeks, is labor intensive and can be costly, but far less than replacement. Warranty Performance
